Lorren Pettit, MS, MBA is vice president, market research for HIMSS. In this role, Lorren works with an expert team offering clients strategic guidance toward achieving sustainable growth and market leadership positioning. Before joining HIMSS Analytics in 2011, he served as managing consultant with Press Ganey Associates. working with hospital executives throughout Canada and the United States on efforts to improve relationships between administrators and physicians/employees.
Lorren has been a healthcare strategist for more than 20 years, with experience in healthcare operations and corporate planning. He has held strategic planning roles in various acute and non-acute healthcare settings, as well as within the hospital group purchasing and hospital services industries.

This was one of the main concerns addressed in this year’s HIMSS Leadership and Workforce Survey as various provider groups (hospitals; physician offices; nursing homes) and vendors/consultants were asked to share their clinical IT priorities for the coming year. A comparison of the priorities leads to some very significant “messaging” insights for vendors.
